About Me.
I use the surroundings around me as the main inspiration for the art I make. Color, nature, and the familiarity of architecture through multiple means is how I develop concepts in my work, whether that be through oil paint, collage, or sculpture. I view the world with an inquisitive perspective and often try to learn from what I’m making. Experimenting with new materials and doing research on my subjects is how I take on each project, and move forward with my creative process. inspirations of media of the early 2000s

The concept of change is an area I tend to explore in my work, as I am starting to grow and establish myself as an artist and person. My practice is often rooted in anxieties around leaving home, the contrast between life in the city versus a rural suburban town, and focusing on the smaller details. Looking at the overlooked or unassuming is a repeating pattern, along with the subtle plague of perfectionism and fear of failure.

Not to mention my love for physical media and nostalgia for the past as someone born during the assurgence of iphones and the full force of social media. Having an older sibling really showed me all the “cool stuff” revolving music and the inspirations of media of the early 2000s which is another attribute to the kind of things I make.
